Our client is a successful environmental consultancy with offices based across Europe. It provides tailored real estate due diligence advice and property management services, as well as brownfield development in the UK. As an employer, the company provides a friendly, professional and dynamic working environment, with the opportunity to develop career prospects. It is currently seeking a Senior Level Chartered Surveyor to take a lead role in its Technical Due Diligence & Building Surveying team in London.
Your main responsibilities will include:
• Managing key client relationships
• Development of the technical business sector
• Recruiting, line managing, mentoring and training junior staff
• Managing team operations and ensuring projects are correctly managed and executed
• Preparing proposals and drafting inter-group contracts and contracts for external associates
• Undertaking land / property condition and building services assessments
• Producing detailed, technically sound and commercially accurate reports (including risk assessments and cost modelling)
• Undertaking QA / technical reviews of technical due diligence reports
You will have demonstrable technical skills with an understanding of building surveying and pathology; construction methods, including commercial, non-traditional and MMC; replacement costs and life cycle costings; building engineering; commercial surveying; and real estate asset management. The following is also required:
• MRICS Chartered Surveyor and significant experience in technical due diligence
• Experience in cost modelling across all property sectors and construction types
• Project / Portfolio management for TDD acquisition and disposal projects
• Broad knowledge of mechanical and electrical building services systems
• Familiarity with relevant codes of practice and industry standards
• The ability to complete factual and interpretative assessments, deliver projects to tight deadlines, and write proposals that are technically sound and commercially accurate
• The ability to work highly independently and drive work streams autonomously
