This is an international environmental consultancy, running European operations from a dynamic office in Nottingham. Since the early 1970s it has worked for some of the world's largest multinationals, on projects ranging from global environmental management systems implementation to corporate sustainability report verification and carbon accounting. Right now there is an opening for either a Senior or Principal Consultant with a minimum of 5/10 years relevant experience gained within a consultancy environment serving primarily the industrial sectors. You will be a confident, dynamic and motivated individual, with a second-to-none technical track record and a desire to continually meet and exceed the expectations of clients.
Candidates should possess the following attributes and experience:
• Excellent project management skills, from inception to completion, meeting deadlines and budgets, as well as excellent staff management skills;
• Experience in designing, implementing and auditing environmental management systems (IEMA auditor registration expected);
• Experience in other areas of environmental management, potentially including resource efficiency, carbon accounting; CSR strategy and report verification, due diligence and compliance auditing, or anything else relevant to this broad and challenging position;
• Good communications skills, preferably with experience of developing and delivering structured training at all organisational levels;
• Clear and concise project report and proposal writing skills.
You will be educated in a core science or environmental discipline, with experience of working in a consultancy environment. Business development skills are desirable for the Senior Consultant position and essential for a Principal Consultant. You will be an excellent team worker, capable of using your technical and project management skills to help drive the company forward. You must be willing to travel.
The initial salary depends on experience. Further remuneration and individual development will be merit-driven. The employment package includes pension plan and private medical cover.
